The Jardins D’Eau D’Annevoie, Belgium.
It was the last day in October and Sheila and I were driving home after visiting friends in Germany. We had spent the night in the Belgian city of Namur and before we set off for our next stop in Ypres we decided to visit the Jardins D’Eau D’Annevoie.
As the name suggests it is a water garden. Established by the Montpellier family in the 18th Century but now administered by a trust who maintain and preserve the estate for the future.
You can see French, Italian and English influences in the gardens design Formal in places but more relaxed in others.
The gardens are open from April through to October and if you would like to see more please watch the video below.
